Asken is used to, and welcomes, the chance to work in larger multi-discipline teams.
Its expertise is vested in Ken's 30+ years' experience in consultancy, initially in farm management advisory work in the south and north west of England. Since 1986, firstly with Laurence Gould Consultants and ultimately Entec UK, Ken has worked on a wide range of consultancy projects for public sector and corporate clients. Ken is a keen mountaineer, hill-walker and rights-of-way user of some 35 years, an activity he has practised around the world. Since moving to Kendal, he has become an active mountain biker as well as utilitarian road cyclist experience he has used a various cycleway feasibility studies. Ken is able to bring his considerable personal experience of both consultancy and access to bear on what has become a particularly topical issue. Askens expertise has been widened by the addition of Ros Taylor. Like Ken, Ros comes from an agricultural background, with a degree in agriculture from Reading University, 5 years experience as a farm management consultant and a similar period leading the Young Farmers rural policy work. After gaining an MBA from Warwick University, Ros spent 10 years in financial services before establishing her own dog-caring business. This business was sold in 2005 and Ros now works alongside Ken on consultancy project, where her analytical and marketing skills are put to good use. Areas where Asken can provide expertise are:
